Central Asian company Kashagan crude oil production set a new history-breaking record

The Kashagan field, located in the northeastern Caspian Sea, is one of the largest oil fields discovered in the world in the past 40 years. PetroChina took a stake in the giant offshore oilfield project in Kazakhstan in October 2013. Kashagan project trial production (phase I development) started production on September 28, 2016. Through the joint efforts of all shareholders and the Kashagan project joint operating company, the daily crude oil production level of the oilfield has gradually increased to the current 415,000 barrels. .
