Mud Cooling System:How to choose the right and economical drilling mud cooling system
Apr 12, 2024
To choose a mud cooling system, various environmental factors at the drilling site need to be considered. If there is accessible tap water or seawater at the drilling site, a combination of closed-loop mud cooling system and air-cooled mud cooling system can be selected. Additionally, factors such as climatic temperature, humidity, mud temperature, and drilling depth should also be taken into account, as they determine the type of mud cooling system needed.
Next, we will introduce the mixed closed-loop mud cooling tower independently designed by KOSUN.
Working principle of the mixed closed-loop mud cooling tower:
Advantages of the mixed closed-loop mud cooling tower:
a) Small equipment footprint: 15-21 m².
b) Mud processing capacity: 120-150 m³/h.
c) Can reduce the temperature difference of the mud by 20℃-30℃.
d) Energy-saving total power: 91.3 kw/h.
Usage conditions: Convenient access to water on-site, requiring a water supply of 1 m³/h for evaporative water.
