KD-500 Slurry Separation System

The KD series slurry separation system is a specialized mud treatment equipment independently developed by KOSUN. It is widely used in slurry shield tunneling, diaphragm wall construction, pile foundation engineering, and other circulating-drilling processes for slurry-balance systems, enabling efficient purification of drilling mud.

System Overview
The KOSUN  KD-500 slurry separation system adopts a modular structural design and is specifically developed for slurry purification requirements in medium- and large-scale slurry balance shield tunneling projects. It offers strong adaptability and stable operation.
The core of the slurry separation system consists of three main modules: a coarse screening module, a desanding module, and a desliming module, which work together to achieve step-by-step slurry purification.
The coarse screening module serves as a pre-screening unit, quickly removing large solid debris from the slurry and laying the foundation for subsequent fine treatment.
The desanding module is equipped with a primary desanding hydrocyclone and a fine-mesh vibrating screen, focusing on removing smaller sand particles from the slurry to achieve higher purification accuracy.
The desliming module is fitted with a secondary desliming hydrocyclone, enabling flexible and selective fine separation according to on-site construction requirements, thereby meeting different purification standards.
The system adopts a closed-loop slurry circulation purification mode, and the treated waste residue has low moisture content, effectively reducing environmental pollution at the source. In addition, all internal components are made of anti-corrosion and wear-resistant materials, ensuring long service life and low failure rates. This allows the system to reliably handle various harsh construction conditions and ensure continuous operation.
 
Process Flow
The drilling slurry first enters the coarse screening module, where large solid particles are removed. It then flows into the desanding module, where a primary hydrocyclone separation system and a fine-mesh vibrating screen further remove sand particles.
Finally, the slurry enters the desliming module, where a secondary hydrocyclone is used to achieve fine particle separation and purification.
The treated slurry is then returned to the circulation system, enabling a closed-loop slurry recycling process.

System Features
1.The treatment process is simple and practical, with easy installation, straightforward operation, and low maintenance requirements in the later stage, effectively reducing labor costs.
2.The system adopts a modular integrated design and is manufactured strictly in accordance with standard container dimensions, enabling convenient transportation and rapid installation. Equipped with a foldable operating platform, it features a compact structure and small footprint, greatly improving on-site flexibility and convenience.
3.The vibration screen allows flexible adjustment of excitation force, screen deck angle, and mesh size. The overall system has strong adaptability and can efficiently handle material processing requirements under different geological conditions, ensuring stable purification performance.
4.The processing flow can be customized according to the D50 separation point to meet different material separation requirements. The processing capacity ranges from 100–3000 m³/h, suitable for various construction scales;
5.The power supply system is flexible and can be adapted to different electrical standards based on site requirements. Under special working conditions, the system can be equipped with a generator set to ensure uninterrupted operation regardless of power supply conditions.
6.The system adopts a skid-mounted integrated design with a stable structure and easy mobility. It can also be modified into a vehicle-mounted mobile processing unit according to actual requirements, making it suitable for mobile construction scenarios.

The KOSUN KD series slurry separation system has a wide range of applications and can be effectively adapted to the following four major construction fields:
1.Slurry treatment for slurry balance shield tunneling;
2.Slurry treatment for bored pile foundation construction (including slurry generated by rotary drilling rigs, reverse and positive circulation drilling rigs, impact drilling rigs, and other drilling methods);
3.Slurry treatment for diaphragm wall construction (including slurry generated during trenching operations using equipment such as diaphragm wall machines and dual-wheel milling systems);
4.Slurry treatment for trenchless construction (including slurry generated by horizontal directional drilling (HDD), slurry pipe jacking, and other trenchless construction methods)。
