TBM Muck Treatment for Shield Tunneling
TBM muck treatment is designed to handle the excavated material generated during EPB shield tunneling. The muck mainly consists of excavated soil, slurry, additives, and groundwater.
KOSUN provides a TBM muck treatment system for separating sand, fine sand, and soil from excavated muck, followed by dewatering and volume reduction. The treated materials can then be handled for transportation and potential reuse.
Integrated TBM Muck Treatment System
KOSUN’s TBM muck treatment system uses a modular configuration. The main equipment includes slurry preparation equipment, coarse screening equipment, sand washing equipment, fine screening equipment, desanding hydrocyclones, slurry pumps and manifolds, and filter presses.
The modular system is designed for transportation and quick installation and dismantling.
For excavated materials with a high sand content, a sand washing stage can be added. The separated fine sand can be further processed for potential use in certain construction applications.
