KOSUN Environmental: Breathing New Life into Urban Waterways
Mar 27, 2026
In modern urban ecosystems, the health of the water environment directly impacts the quality of life. However, long-term sediment accumulation often becomes an endogenous threat to water purity. To overcome the environmental challenges of dredging, technology is shifting from a simple "haul-away mode" to a sophisticated "factory-style treatment mode." Among these advancements, the integrated eco-friendly silt treatment equipment developed by KOSUN showcases the latest achievements in green dredging technology.

Traditional dredging is often accompanied by open-air sludge stacking and leachate leakage. The core of KOSUN’s river silt treatment process lies in "Reduction, Harmlessness, and Resource Utilization." Through steps such as pre-treatment, washing/screening, dewatering/volume reduction, and sediment stabilization, the process achieves a precise transformation from raw silt into clean backfill material.
Synergetic Operation of Core Modules
A complete silt treatment system consists of eight specialized functional modules. Within a closed-loop system, the material undergoes multi-stage screening and sedimentation. Notably, this process achieves highly efficient substance separation: sand and gravel are processed into clean sand for backfilling to restore the natural structure of the riverbed; meanwhile, the mud phase is solidified and reduced in volume through mechanical, physical, and chemical means within the dewatering unit, significantly lowering the costs of subsequent transport and disposal.
Value in Diverse Application Scenarios
The application of this technology spans critical scenarios, from urban river channels to the protection of drinking water sources. The system possesses differentiated treatment capabilities for silt with varying pollution levels, ensuring that both tailwater discharge and sludge cake disposal comply with environmental regulations. Through this closed-loop process, silt that once hindered aquatic ecosystems is converted into usable resources, supporting the remediation of scenic lakes and reservoirs while ensuring the long-term healthy development of the water environment.
